Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up or contact us, we collect your name, practice or firm name, email address, phone number, type of practice, expected monthly usage, your choice of interpreter location, and anything you write in the message field.

Account and billing information. When you buy minutes, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and the last four digits of the card. We do not store full card numbers.

Call information. For each interpreted call we record the date, time, length, phone number or session used, the interpreter level and the minutes charged. [CALL RECORDING: state whether calls are recorded, how long recordings are kept, and who can access them. If calls are not recorded, say so.]

Website information. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, pages visited and the referring site. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, to measure how people reach our website from our ads and whether they sign up. It uses cookies and similar technology, and Meta may combine this information with other information it has about you under its own privacy policy. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or block third-party cookies in your browser. We also use Google Analytics, a tool from Google, to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages they view and how they found us. It uses cookies to collect this information in aggregate. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Information shared during interpreted calls

During a call, the interpreter hears what is said by everyone on the line. This can include legal, financial or other confidential information about your clients or customers. Interpreters use this information only to interpret the call and are required to keep it confidential. TandemVoice is not currently offered for healthcare purposes, and you should not use it for communications that involve protected health information.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share information with

Our interpreters and service providers may be located inside or outside the United States. If you choose US-based interpreters, your calls are interpreted by interpreters located in the United States.

How long we keep information

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is open and for [RETENTION PERIOD] afterwards, or longer where the law requires. Sign-up details from people who never open an account are deleted after [RETENTION PERIOD].

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
